Easy Guide to Word Counts

Word counts can be a tricky subject! Here's a quick and easy overview from Writer's Digest:

Short Stories: 1,500-30,000 words

Novellas: 30,000-50,000 words

Full-length Novel: 55,000-300,000 words

When writing a full-length it is best to aim in the 80,000-100,000 word range unless already specified in publishing guidelines.

Easy tip: 250 words = 1 page
