We're looking for new members!

Opening Note

We are open for new membership! Since we are a small group who's claim from the beginning was a "romance writer's critique group" we are only open to a very small number of fiction writers. We do not claim to be like or serve as a chapter of RWA or any other writer's organization. We are simply a small group of fiction writers who meet for food, friendship and talk about writing and where our writing careers are heading. We eat. We laugh. We are involved with eachother's lives and are passionate about eachother's writing. We hold monthly writing challenges, brainstorm nights, plot parties and writer's fun nights every quarter.

If you are interested in membership, there are requirements... please read and then contact

New Member Requirments

1)  You must be a fiction writer. We are a group of fiction writers -- this does not mean we never dabble in nonfiction. But we need members who can brainstorm an idea (for a book) at a moments notice.

2)  You must have some knowledge of writing as a craft. None of the members are published, but we do understand our craft. We have taken classes, joined writer's circles and have been to conferences. We suggest to all who are interested in joining our group to at least take a class from Southeast Community College (Lincoln, Neb.) on fiction writing -- but this is not a requirement.

3)  You must be willing to be a team player. We brainstorm during most meetings and need writers who are excited and ready to participate in discussion.

4)  You must be able to attend group meetings. We are a very low-key group and understand life can be nuts -- but we want members who can attend as many meetings as possible. It is hard on the whole group if writers aren't commited.

5)  And last -- we need to have something to offer you as a writer ... whether is be support, critiques, or just a listening ear for new ideas for a story line.
