Katie is a charter member. She serves as the organizer of the group.
She works at a local cookie shop and as a caregiver. She owns a seasonal bakery and granola company. If not writing or baking, you will find her at local farmer's markets mingling with foodies.
She writes stories filled with a unique combination of mystery, murder, secrets and love.
Terri Butler
Terri is a charter member. She always brings a new idea or setting to the table.
She is a grant specialist for the University in Lincoln. She is the married-mother of 2 grown sons.
She writes romantic suspense with paranormal elements. She is also a member of Romance Writers of America.
Maralee Mitzner
Maralee is a charter member. She is the one to redirect the group when it gets focused on the proccess and not the actual writing.
She works as a nurse for Lincoln Public Schools which has fueled her pre-teen mystery series. She is the single-mother of 2 grown children.
She writes adult romance, children's books and a pre-teen mysteries.
Lisa Heacock
Lisa joined the group in January 2009.
She's a former RN and Lamaze instructor has been a speaker at area civic organizations such as Kiwanis, and has written for newspapers and guest blogs. She is the mother of five grown children, grandmother of two with a third one the way. She lives with her two fuzzy canine friends, and indulgent husband.
She writes paranormal romantic mysteries and creative historical non-fiction. She is also a member of Nebraska Writers Guild.
Jenny Bates
Jenny joined the group in February 2009.
She works as a substitute teacher at both Nebraska City and Lincoln schools. She's the married mother of 5 children.
She writes American Romance. She is also a member of Romance Writers of America, Nebraska Romance Writers and Nebraska Writers Guild.
